I quickly found out that it is close to impossible to get them both to look at the camera and smile at the same time. Incidentally, Claire calls the Disney store the "sparkle store" because of the red sparkly floor. The new show was called Minnie Mouse's masquerade, so they encouraged the kids to dress up. Claire and Elaina chose their favorite costumes, but added their personal touch of the wings.
First off, I want to say that Natalie took this picture. It is literally IN the store window Minnie Mouse display. You can see that Elaina is holding two Minnie Mouse stuffed animals. She brought the red one, but quickly saw the pink one in the store, so Natalie was roped into a purchase before the event even started.
The event was organized really well and they sat the kids down and told them about the show. They said that they would be stopping the show for some activities.
The first activity was decorating crowns. They gave them these yellow crowns and sparkly stickers to decorate. You can sort of see here that Elaina lined up all of her triangles with the points of the crown. Whereas, Claire put all of the shapes together in no particular order. Interesting...
There was also a parade, but my pictures didn't turn out very well. Afterwards, they got the blue ribbons for their costumes and some Minnie Mouse magnets. The girls both had a good time, but it was hard getting out of the store without spending lots of money. Every time we turned around there was something else they wanted.
