Making our way to Utah

We were all excited to go and visit my parents new house in Utah.  Claire had a swim meet Saturday morning, so we left after the meet and drove half way.  The last few times we have gone to Utah we stopped in Roseville at Chick fil A and this time was no exception.  

However, this time we had time to take a backstage tour.  We got to see how they bread the chicken and cook it.  The kids were fascinated.

 The next morning I wanted to stop at the salt flats to show the kids.  As you can see from the picture it was super bright.

It was hot outside and Grant was not into learning about salt which is evident in this lovely picture.

In this area the salt was thin and it was a bit muddy underneath.  They couldn't believe that it was salt.

 Erik and Natalie's families were waiting for us and we took this inaugural front steps picture.  We were excited for a fun week ahead.
