Before: For the first year of her life was the "feeding" corner of her room. I had intended to get a new cover for the rocker before she was born, but never got around to it. Lately it had become the "how fast can we rock in the rocker so that it hits the wall area".
After: Now this corner houses her new bed. I had a canopy bed growing up and I thought that she would really like one as well. I went shopping with my mom and we purchased the pink organza fabric, ribbons, and small little flowers. My mom sewed together the organza and created the bows for the corners. Claire was overwhelmed by all of the pink pretty things.
Before: The basic changing table area.
After: The new dresser and mirror. Now that she has the mirror she loves to look at herself in her dress up clothes. I still haven't found homes for everything that is on the top. The box with all of her hair clips and bows was sitting on her dresser until recently at nap time she decided to reorganize the whole thing. Needless to say it was not by color. Now the box of "pretties" has to be hidden.
Before: The beloved crib which neither Andrew or Claire chewed on. Although her cousin Elaina showed her how to get in and out of the crib recently, Claire never tried it at night.
After: This is now the reading nook. My mom and I found the chair that Claire is sitting in at a consignment store. It used to be brown with a red velvet seat. My dad spray painted it white and my mom recovered the cushion and added the ribbon and ruffle accents. I had purchased the small bookcase last summer which turned out to be a huge hit. Claire loves to sit in the chair or lie on her bed and read books to herself.

Claire loves her new room, but is still having trouble sleeping in her big girl bed. I am hoping that this phase passes before the baby is born.

So pretty! I love the pink! I can't wait until we build Eve a room so she can get out of ours!!:-)
Congrats Claire!
So Ava has the same bedding from PB!! And probably the same dresser...from Ikea. Great Interior Designer minds think alike :)
Looks like a great room! As soon as my kids are all in school, I will clean their rooms and take pictures :)
Could there be any more pink in that room. It looks gorgeous. I particularly love the vaccuum lines in the carpet.
What an ADORABLE room! You Larsen women sure know how to decorate.
