We decided to get away from the hot weather and go to the beach on Saturday. It was the first time we had been since Memorial Day. We also took two friends with us, so it was 2 adults and 4 kids. Luckily, everyone helped carry all of the stuff. It was such a beautiful day at the beach!
Claire does not go anywhere without her sunglasses, and the beach is no exception. She has several pairs just in case some get lost. She was reluctant to get in the water at first. Her idea of getting in the water was for her to be held while Danny or I got in the water. By get in the water I mean ankles only. That water is so cold, I cannot remember the last time I got all the way in the water.
Andrew, Abby, and Carter spend most of the time running in and out of the waves. It was fun to watch them think of games or tricks that they were doing in the water.
This year I am happy to report that Claire did not eat any sand. She had a great time digging and smashing Danny's castle.
At the end of the day she was relaxing on the boogie board. We had such a good time that we are going to go back this weekend.
