First Day of School

Monday was the big day - Andrew's first day of Kindergarten. I never would have guessed how well it went. He was very nervous about going to a new school. We talked it up for weeks, but he wasn't going to be happy about it. Then we went to visit the classroom and the teacher last Friday. He was suddenly okay with going to school. I think that he saw that it wasn't scary and it might actually be fun. On Monday morning he got dressed and was ready to go when we were. He was very quiet the whole ride over and even when we got there. But he never cried!!! I was so relieved. I was prepared for a crying, clingy mess. I also surprised myself by shedding a few tears. I talked to him after school and he said that he couldn't wait to go back the next day.
