Claire decided to play softball again this spring, it was going to be a challenge with the end of basketball season and with Grant playing t-ball. They ended up needing an assistant coach for her team so Danny volunteered. Claire was on the Royals this year and she was thrilled with the uniforms for her team. I also got her a big softball bow for her hair but Danny said it interfered with her batting helmet. Claire was much more excited about the season this year, I think because she knew more what to expect. She also ended up having someone on her team that we knew from swim team.
She practiced hitting a lot and definitely got better this season.

She got this ground ball and made the play at first. It was really awesome!
She also wanted to try pitching. There are probably only a few girls in the league that are decent at pitching, but everyone wants to try including Claire.
At the very end of the season she also tried being catcher. I think that would be scary but she liked it. She is going to play in the fall again. She really made a lot of progress this season.
