Isabel's baptism

We went to Visalia on Labor Day weekend for Isabel's baptism.  We drove in on Saturday morning and the baptism was at 4:00 pm.

Isabel was excited but nervous about her big day.  A picture with Grandma and Grandpa.

Isabel and Ryan.

The Larsen family.

McKenzie and Erik hanging out in the foyer.  Nice glasses!

There were seven kids getting baptized, and Isabel was the last one.  We took a lot of pictures afterwards.Melissa, Mandy's sister, also came.  She has four kids and they are pictured her with Andrew, Claire, Grant, Isabel, Landon, Mia, Taylor and McKenzie.

The whole family (missed you Natalie!).

All of the adults with Isabel.

My parents with Isabel and Mandy's dad Rorey.  My mom made Isabel's dress.  When they were in San Jose for 4th of July they went to the fabric store and picked out the pattern and the fabric.  This is Isabel's favorite color.

After the pictures we went to Mandy's friends house for dinner and fun in the pool.  Mandy knows a lot of people with great pools and backyards!

There was a waterfall that everyone was jumping off.  Here are Taylor and Claire climbing up.

Getting ready to jump.

There goes Taylor!

And Claire!  That looks like it would hurt.

All of the kids had a great time swimming and eating.

Andrew and Landon thought it was fun to empty the ice out of the ice chest into the pool.  The pool was quite cold already, so I am not sure why this was so fun.

We stayed at a hotel and they didn't have any suites, so Andrew and Claire had one bed and Danny and I were in the other.  Grant stayed in the pack and play.  Luckily the kids were quite tired so they went right to bed.

On Sunday after church Mandy made a great lunch and the kids all played together.  Of course, the trampoline was a great hit.

I'm not sure why Grant is so unhappy here.

We went on a hunt for Turbo the turtle.  When we were there two weeks before we couldn't find him.

We found him by the garden.

Taylor, McKenzie and Grant thought that Turbo was great.  They really wanted to pet him.

Claire and Mia eating watermelon.

The adults played a game of Settlers.  We haven't played this in a long time.  I think I got last place.

Grant and McKenzie were having a hula hoop competition.

Claire and Mia were doing a lot of coloring.

It was quiet down the hall for a while so I decided to check out what the kids were doing.  I found them all in the bathroom doing hair.  They were so excited to style each other.  They even came out and did a fashion show.

They really wanted me to take pictures of them doing handstands.  I just couldn't get them all up at the same time.

Andrew and Landon were playing football and baseball most of the afternoon.  They were so red hot.

We did Facetime with Natalie and her kids and they wanted to show Elaina Turbo.

The next morning we had to check out and of course, they had to take a ride on the luggage rack.

We all went out to breakfast for Labor Day and Mandy, my mom and I went to a few antiques stores.  we hung out for a while longer, but wanted to leave earlier than we did on Memorial Day weekend to beat the traffic.  But we had one last stop before heading home, that's right, a temple!  We went by the Fresno temple.  It is truly in a residential neighborhood and shares a parking lot with the church.  It isn't on a busy street at all, and in fact we got lost going there.  This is probably one of the smallest temples we visited.  After a big weekend with the cousins, the kids were fast asleep in the car on the way home.  Perfect!
