Grant at 10 months

Grant has made some pretty big advances in the past month. He is officially into everything! He can crawl around so fast and dump out toys, rip up paper, chase the cat, and put everything in sight into his mouth. His favorite food is still cat food. If he is down the hall and sees the cat food bowl is on the ground in the kitchen (most of the time it is on the counter) he gets a huge smile on his face and crawls as fast as he can to try and get it before someone puts it up.
He surprised us one morning this month with this when we opened his door - he can stand up in his crib. He looks so sad in this picture.
His room is right across the hall from our room and when he is standing in his crib like this, he looks directly at our bedroom door. So he stands there waiting for us to come out and rescue him from his crib. We also found that he loves the swing. We recently went to the park and he was content to sit in the swing for a long time.
He can pull himself to standing just about anywhere. He likes to play under the kitchen table - most likely looking for food that fell off the table from dinner. He likes to push the chairs around and try to pull out the plug on my laptop from the wall.
He still loves the bath. In this case Claire had gotten in first and he sat there waiting for his turn, at one point he had pulled himself up and was trying to reach the water, but I stopped that really quick so that he didn't fall in. Claire doesn't think that she should have to share her bath toys with Grant, so we have to have that conversation with her every time he gets in the bath.
He is now a dishwasher helper - he enjoys unloading more than loading. Again, if he sees the door open he crawls as fast as possible to see if he can try to climb on the door.
He has a love/hate relationship with Claire. Sometimes they can play together great, but other times she is bossy and won't let him touch her toys. She also thinks that she can try to lift Grant up, which she can't, she we have to keep telling her to stop touching him. Here she is making him laugh which is so cute.
And last but not least is the official 10 month picture. This month I decided to use a whiteboard and draw "10 months" on it rather than use a piece of paper so that he couldn't rip it up. As you can see it didn't work.
Claire and Andrew were so concerned that they tried and tried to fix the words and Grant just kept wiping them off.
