When I come home from work I often get a report of all of the fun things that the kids did that day. This particular day a few weeks ago I heard all about the fun that was had in the backyard. At the end of her excited description of what they did Claire mentioned the "M" word. I don't like the "M" word or anything it stands for. No, it isn't a swear word, but it might as well be - it is the word MUD. Natalie said that I should check out the pictures on the camera. As a side note, Andrew was at a camp, so he wasn't involved in this "fun".
It all started out well - Natalie created two different pools for the kids. One was the blow up pool that surprisingly still works from last summer and the other was out of one of our sand boxes. The sand has been gone for a while as they have poured it out in various parts of the yard. The sand box pool was perfect for Grant. We also have a patio umbrella so, everything was covered.
And then with the blink of an eye, it all went bad. Someone, no one fessed up, dumped a bucket of water out in the dirt. And then others followed and soon it was a mud bath. Here are the culprits feet.

They look so happy!!! I love letting my kids play in the mud. Not a fan of the clean up, but they LOVE it.
