We kinda waited until the last minute to get pumpkins this year. I wasn't so excited about taking a newborn to the pumpkin patch plus I had already taken Claire with her preschool. Would Andrew really remember about carving pumpkins? The
resounding answer is yes to that question. We went to a different pumpkin patch this year - one with less distractions. It is supposed to be about the pumpkins right?

A quick picture as we entered with the large painted pumpkin. Andrew asked me what it really was and I think it is one of those buoys they use in the ocean. I just noticed that Claire is in all pink and Andrew is in all blue. There's nothing like dressing for your gender!

Andrew had a hard time choosing a
pumpkin. There are just so many choices! In the end he went with a taller style pumpkin. He was also very helpful with Claire's pumpkin choice.

Claire liked the more traditional fat and round pumpkin. She kept asking if we were going to make pumpkin pie. I told her that we would have to chop up the whole pumpkin to make the pie so she wouldn't be able to carve it, so she changed her mind. Plus I don't even know how to do that!

A picture at the end of the adventure with the pumpkins. Note baby Grant in the stroller. He actually did really well and didn't cry. I was worried because it was quite cold and windy. Just before the checkout they had various other gourds to look at and purchase. Andrew and Claire had to hold all of them. There were lots of cool shapes and colors.
