There is a recipe on the back of the Rice
Chex box for a
delicious treat called "Muddy Buddies". For some reason, although I have told her the correct name many times, she calls them "
Hunny Buddies". It is a wonderful concoction of Rice
Chex, chocolate chips and peanut butter. Claire loves this treat and asks me at least once a day to make them. I would oblige her more, but I end up eating most of this not-so-low-fat food. Last night we decided to whip up a batch.
Claire wants to help as much as possible while cooking. Here she had just finished pouring the cereal in the bowl. I was putting the peanut butter, chocolate chips and butter in a bowl, but many of the chocolate chips were being stolen along the way.

More testing and licking - this is her favorite part.
The completed product! Claire is already on to her second favorite thing to do while cooking - dishes. This, of course, involves water all over her shirt and the floor, but she keeps telling me that she is helping. Claire loves to cook, but she only wants to make muffins, cookies or "

Taylor likes to help with the dishes and cooking too. At least they're happy, right? And the dishes get clean even if there is an additional mess to clean up.
