Thanksgiving hats

This year Andrew made several different Thankgiving hats at preschool and at a Thanksgiving party. I didn't know that that was something I should have been doing with him. I feel like maybe I missed out on the tradition as a child. So here are the three creations:

This one has a tail feathers in the back that you can't see. The turkey's head had to be taped in place because it kept falling in his eyes.

The traditional Pilgrim hat that is held together with a TON of tape.

Also, the traditional turkey "hand" hat. I was just reading online about a family that makes turkey "hands" every year with their kids. Then they save them in some type of fabulous scrapbook - mine will be in a plastic tub, and then they have a record of their kids hands for years to come. I thought that was a cute idea.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

He is getting so old. He is looking so much more like Danny the older he gets. I could never sae my kids hats, They refuse to take them off until they are broken and then cry about it for days.

Love the Blog! Now I can see my nephew and niece grow up.
I think Claire really resembles Danny. I have a picture of him when he was her age and if you put the two together, it would be hard pressed to tell them apart.

I see my brother is still playing videos :)
