Flu shots
I took both of the kids to get their flu shots today. When we got to the doctor's office Andrew asked what we were doing there and I told him that he and Claire were going to get one quick little shot. He got a really panicked look on his face and I told him that it wouldn't hurt that much and that we could get ice cream afterwards. He decided that Claire should go first, so she did and she cried (much less than I had thought). Then, of course, Andrew didn't want to get his. I had to hold him and right before the nurse stuck him he screamed, "No, Mommy! I don't want the ice cream!" Ummm....I felt really bad. All was made well again with a Batman sticker and a scoop of chocolate ice cream from Baskin Robbins.

I hate giving them shots. Up here they do a spray in their nose instead of a shot if they are over two. Glad the sticker and ice cream solved the problem.
I felt like a horrible mother the day Taylor got her shots. It was the saddest cry I've ever heard. The poor thing wimpered all afternoon.
