Family time?

Family time today was spent playing Star Wars video games. At least that is what Andrew and Danny did. Claire was napping and I was desperately trying to finish our 2005 (aagghhh) scrapbook. Andrew is really into Star Wars right now. In fact, it may be an all Star Wars Christmas - right Santa??? He has been begging to play this game that was "put away" due to widespread frustration from both parties. Danny got it out again today and all was well. When I took this picture they were battling some type of galactic yak.

The Clone Wars cartoons are a favorite show right now and even Claire was watching one night. She doesn't really like them, but it is a great bribe technique for Andrew.

Here is a recent picture of Claire and I. She does not like to take pictures these days. She wants to hold the camera and touch the lens.

Yesterday I took Andrew and two friends to Gilroy Gardens. It was bring a friend free, the weather was beautiful, and it was the last weekend they were open, so I decided to give it a try. Well, apparently everyone else in the county did too. It was the most crowded I have ever seen it, but still fun. They were all exhausted at the end of the day - yeah!! While I was gone Danny planted some daffodil bulbs and some rose bushes transplanted from my parent's house. Thanks honey! It is supposed to rain this week, but it is also Thanksgiving. I LOVE Thanksgiving dinner!!

Gotta love the quality down time. And yay for Thanksgiving! Definitely my favorite dinner of the year, and quite possibly my favorite holiday.

I just want to pinch those cute cheeks of Claire's! Ian loves Star Wars too--I think that will be on his Christmas list also.

Do you have the Star Wars Lego game for Andrew? That is our son's favorite because it is open ended and you can't really die in it, so it is perfect for kids. They can just walk around and whack stuff with a lightsaber with no repercussions, and it's not frustrating because they never run out of lives. Perfect for a little guy with no patience.
