A bike ride and fireworks part 1

Natalie and her neighbors were going to do fireworks on the evening of July 3rd, so we headed over there to go on a bike ride before the fireworks.  Luckily, she had bikes and helmets for everyone. She lives in a neighborhood that has bike/walking trails through the neighborhood.

And they're off!

Claire's and Grant's bikes were probably a bit small, but they made it work.  We rode to a park and played on the playground for a while.  So many bikes!

We forgot to bring water, so the kids had to run across a huge field to get to the water.

This picture doesn't do it justice, but the sun was starting to set and the color on the mountains was amazing.

We took a different route back.

One of the cool things about Utah is all of the firework stands.  We stopped at this one on the way to her house but we didn't really know what to get, so we got some variety packs.

The kids loved the fireworks and some of the ones we did were way up in the air and really loud.  Afterwards we had smores in Natalie's backyard.  The kids had a great day all around.
