Walk-a-thon

Last Friday Andrew's school held a walk-a-thon and had a small carnival afterwards as a fundraiser. He earned enough money to get an official walk-a-thon yellow shirt. Days before the event he had his blue shorts picked out and debated over what water bottle to take.

He finally decided on the yellow one that has his name on it, but I couldn't find the strap that went with it, so he reluctantly used Claire's pink one as a substitute. This was only after much deliberation and searching for his yellow strap.

Unfortunately I was not able to be there as I had to go to the dreaded place called work. Natalie took the kids and my mom went as well to cheer him on - and he was thrilled.

We walked 19 laps and received several carnival tickets which he was very excited about. He later said that Friday was the best day ever at school. It is hard to believe that Kindergarten is almost over. He has had so much fun learning about different subjects.

He looks so old, Ali. I can't believe how quickly time passes. I wish you guys lived closer to us.
