For Christmas we surprised the kids with tickets to Utah in January so that they could experience real snow. We flew out on Saturday morning, we got there early so hot chocolate was in order.
Come to find out we were on a small plane with propellers. Grant did not like the sound of the planes outside.
He was soon enthralled with the map of the US with all of the flight routes.
We flew over a snowy Lake Tahoe area.
The moment we got to my parent's house the kids were playing in the snow. They didn't even have their gloves or snow clothes on.
They were trying to make snowballs with their frigid hands.
Snowball fights and snow angels.
We were able to get tickets to the Provo City Center temple open house. It was beautiful inside. Too bad this picture of all of the kids didn't turn out great. Those streaks across the picture is snow.
They had this fake backdrop inside that you could take picture in front of and then they emailed it to you.
The sun rising on Sunday morning.
The snow on the mountains is so beautiful.
A cozy morning watching TV.
Church in the snow was worth a picture.
After church we headed to Natalie's house to play. We ended up playing in the snow quite a bit.
At least this time they had the right gear.
Andrew tried snow bike riding.
Grant was good at dishing out the snowballs but not in receiving them.
Elaina and Claire built a snow castle. They all had a great time playing outside until their fingers were numb.
