December activities

These are pictures from some of the December activities.  First up was the Big Bike build that the scouts participated in.  They built several hundred bikes on one Saturday morning.  Andrew had a great time and learned a lot about bikes.

Of course, it wouldn't be December without our annual gingerbread house decorating.  This is also the activity that keeps on giving.  The kids spend the rest of the month picking off the candies one by one and dropping white icing everywhere.

The lower grades do a holiday singing concert.  This isn't a great picture of Grant, but he in the back left, top row.  They didn't really do holiday songs which was a bit odd.  They are dressed up as cowboys.

Claire is in the back row under the "a" in Teresa.

Sara took this cute picture of Grant and Claire after school one day.  Maybe they do love each other.

We went to a presentation at a church in Santa Clara that acts out the birth of Christ with live actors.  It was very well done and they had a lot of dressed up actors and sets.

Playing in the leaf pile in the front yard - in December!

I won tickets at work to the new Star Wars movie.  The kids were so excited.  We saw it in 3D which was great.  Not a great picture, but I like us all in the glasses.

Claire's Brownie troop had a dinner and gift exchange.

We went to Bass Pro Shop to get pictures with Santa, but Claire was the only one who wanted to do it.  In the meantime, the kids test drove some ATVs.  They loved the big bows and wanted to know why we couldn't get them.

The kids surprised me with Nothing Bundt Cakes for my birthday.

Brownies for dad's birthday!
