With a break over the summer it was time to get back into the swing of things with school and some fall activities for the kids. First up was Claire who decided that she wanted to go to a dance class. So we signed her up for a class at Little Gym that does tap, ballet and gymnastics. We go once a week for an hour. She cannot wait to go to class every week and asks if it is Friday yet. I got her two outfits - one pink and one black. She, of course, loves the pink one more.
Here are pictures of her during the tap and ballet portion. They didn't turn out so hot because I was taking them through a glass window and there are a bunch of reflections. Plus I was trying to take them without a flash so the some of the pictures are blurry. She enjoys all of the different things they do each week. I think she especially likes having something that is hers that she can go to. It was hard for her watching Andrew go to various practices and not having something of her own. Sometimes we even go for frozen yougurt afterwards!
Andrew decided to forgo soccer this fall and decided to play fall baseball. He has aged up and now the kids get to pitch to each other, well at least until they throw too many balls. Then the coach pitches. Andrew does not like to play in the outfield because there isn't enough action. Last week he got to pitch for two innings which he really enjoyed. He is anxiously awaiting his turn at catcher. I think he is more excited about wearing all of the gear than actually playing the position.
The problem with Andrew aging up is that the games are now 2.5 hours long and that doesn't include the hour early that you need to be there before the game. Needless to say, Grant and Claire aren't so excited about that. I try to keep Grant occupied with snacks during the game, but that only works for so long. Then we walk around all while trying to watch the game.
And Claire likes to wander around. She wanted to sit on the bleachers by herself last week.
